| Chipping Campden is a centre for the Arts and Crafts Movement which was originally set up here in 1902 and where the tradition of craftsmanship continues today. Charles Robert Ashbee arrived with his craftsmen from the East End of London and set up a Guild of Handicrafts here. The Craftsmen had their workshops in The Silk Mill in Sheep Street which can still be visited today. If you are lucky you will see David Hart, a silversmith, continuing the tradition in the workshop his grandfather set up.
There are many fine buildings along the High Street dating from the 14th century. Right in the centre of the town is the Market Hall now in the care of The National Trust. The Dover Games or Cotswold Olympics are held here every year. The event is named after Robert Dover who organised the games in the early sixteen hundreds on the hill above the town.
